Looking for fast project management certification

I want to get a project management certification as soon as possible. I don't have months (or even weeks) to study for one. I want one as soon as possible (I want to get a job and that job requires that the project manager is certified - any certification will do). What do you guys recommend?

Obviously both the PMP and PRINCE2 are out of the question - I don't have have to study for them. Any ideas?

Well, you can do the PMP in 2 weeks (see here: http://www.projectmanagementquestions.com/4587/what-is-the-minimum-study-time-with-max-benefit-for-pmp-exam ), but you will need to completely dedicate yourself to studying for the PMP if you need to pass (you will need to take a vacation from your work and you need to isolate yourself). The PMP is not that hard if you are an experienced project manager and if you have an idea of how the PMP questions look like.

If you cannot dedicate two weeks, or if you even don't have 2 weeks, then I'm afraid you can scratch the PMP and PRINCE2 off your potential certifications list.

Since other project management certifications are taken very lightly (some are not even considered as "real" PM certifications) by recruiters and companies, then your only option is to take a seminar/workshop on project management at your local university. Of course, this is not remotely as good as the PMP or PRINCE2, but it's better than nothing.

I suggest you wait a bit and get a decent certification in PM.
