What if you don't pass the PMP the first time?

Question

What will be the outcome if I don't pass the PMP the first time I have the test. Will there be a buffer time in which I cannot take the exam? Will I have to pay the same fees, or will the fees be reduced since I already paid for the original exam that I failed?

Are PMI like the GMAC (creators of GMAT), where if you fail an exam they will keep it on your record and people will be able to see it?

Finally, if I fail an exam will my test score in the second exam be affected, and will test be harder/easier?

If you fail the exam on your first attempt, you can re-take it two more times within your one-year eligibility period. Fees are associated with re-examination. See the following site for more details:
