Re-applying for the PMP exam after failing it for the 3rd time

I failed the exam for the 3rd time. I want to re-apply. Do I have to redo the 40 hour course that I did when I applied the first time to become eligible again?

I assume that this 40 hour project management course gives you the necessary 35 contact hours (or even more than 35) to apply for the PMP certification.

PMI is very clear about this, the contact hours can be accrued at any time (as long as they are accrued before you apply for the PMP certification) so technically they don't expire. In other words, no, you do not have to take that course again in your next PMP application, even if you apply after failing the test for the 3rd time.
