What is activity sequencing?

What do you mean by activity sequencing? Is the concept related in any way to the activities that are in the project schedule? Does it have anything to do with dependencies between those activities?

Also, please give an (easy) example of activity sequencing (if it's possible to give an example).

Activity sequencing is one step in creating a project schedule.  Using the tasks from the WBS, activity sequencing identifies and documents the dependencies by looking at the precedence relationships.  A simple example: you have a WBS to build a house that includes building the frame, painting, and pouring concrete.  In activity sequencing, you recognize that pouring the concrete needs to occur before you can build the frame.
